IELTS Training Courses
IELTS is short for the International English Language Testing System, an examination program designed to determine a candidate’s level of English language proficiency. It is aimed at people who wish to pursue higher education in an English-speaking country.
The standard IELTS Training Course in Dubai is available in two different versions, the first of which is an academic module designed for those wishing to obtain a university degree in English. The second module, known as the General Preparatory Module, is designed for those who wish to pursue a non-academic programme in English, usually for immigration purposes.
If you choose one of these modules, the examination consists of four separate parts. These include reading, writing, listening and speaking, but not necessarily in that order. Despite the different intentions, the study section is usually considered the most important test according to the standards of many countries.
On the other hand, the general preparation module is considered less demanding, particularly in test areas such as reading and writing. In addition, candidates may continue their studies in the host country after completing the module, but will only receive a diploma at the end of the course.
IELTS has long been recognized by various institutions as the established or approved international examination system for assessing English language skills. These include institutions in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Surprisingly, in the United States, universities have only recently begun to use IELTS.
Four well-known academic organizations are recognized as official IELTS administrators, including the British Council, IELTS Australia, Cambridge ESOL Exams and IDP Education Australia. In this context, it should be noted that some professional bodies, such as the UK Department of Defense and the British Medical Council, as well as various international immigration agencies, have also begun to use the test as part of their internal procedures.
In more than 100 countries, IELTS has been set as a prerequisite for students to study at universities and colleges in their home country. The test takes more than two hours and can be taken at any recognized IELTS administration center in the country where the candidate wishes to study.
